Mick St. John enters the heightened world of celebrity when he’s hired by a young and famous actress, Tierney Tate. Tierney is being hounded by paparazzi who somehow seem to have access to her schedule. When she’s murdered, Mick makes it his mission to find her killer. Meanwhile, Beth has a new boss at Buzzwire, who cares more about scooping other nets, than the facts. Because of her friendship with Mick, who is reported to be Tierney’s new boyfriend, she gets assigned the case of covering Tierney and her new movie’s apparent curse. The two work together interviewing suspects, and, as they learn more about Tierney’s complex life, they discover the killer’s identity. After a mutual moment of mistaken jealousy (Mick is with Tierney, Beth with ADA Talbott), Mick and Beth also discuss the prospect of dating each other.
